IN LOVING MEMORY OF BEACON

[06.08.16]

The link below is to a touching article about Beacon, one of the best four legged law enforcement officers the U.S. Marshals Service and this country has ever known.  Beacon dedicated his life in service to our great nation.  Please take a few minutes to read his story.  There is a poem at the end of the article which really helps you understand the special bond between Beacon and his handler Mike.

NEW OFFICERS OF THE U.S. MARSHALS SURVIVORS BENEFIT FUND

[06.01.16]

The Board of Directors of the U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund (USMSBF) is pleased to announce the selection of John O. Bolen as the new Chairman of the USMSBF effective June 1, 2016.  Mr. Bolen has served as Treasurer of the Fund for the past three years.  John Patrignani has been selected as the new Treasurer of the Survivors Benefit Fund.

Additionally, the Board of Directors has established the permanent staff position of Executive Director to oversee the business operations and fundraising functions of the organization.  We are also pleased to announce that retired Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Dan O’Donnell, immediate past Chairman of the USMSBF Board of Directors, has accepted an offer to become the first USMSBF Executive Director effective June 1, 2016.  The Executive Director will be an ex-officio member of the Board.  The establishment of this new permanent position becomes necessary as the USMSBF continues to grow and volunteers are spending more time coordinating additional programs and events that benefit the USMSBF and the families we serve.
