2014 Police Week Fundraiser


On May 16, 2014,The U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund hosted a fundraiser at Samuel Beckett's Irish Gastro Pub in Arlington, VA. The goal of this event was to bring together deputies from around the countrywho were in DC for National Police Week and raise awareness of the Fund.  The event was a big success and so much fun! The bar was packed with supporters, fundraising t-shirts sold out quickly, all items that the Sam Beckett’s generously donated were auctioned off, and many raffle tickets were sold. The highlight of the night was the US Marshals Pipe and Drum Band, who played several times throughout the evening and was a huge hit with everyone in the bar. Our deepest gratitude to Sam Becketts for hosting our event, Steve Panepinto and Art Roderick who pulled the event together with such short notice, to our volunteers of the evening and to all the members of the Pipe and Drum Band who volunteered their time and talents and made the event a huge success. Thank You!

E/PA 4th Annual Police Week BBQ


On May 15, 2014, the U.S. Marshals Service in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania hosted their 4th Annual Police Week BBQ in Philadelphia. The generosity of the Deputies and their families, fellow law enforcement officers, and courthouse employees raised $7,800 for the Fund. From the Board of Directors, we would to say thank you to E/PA for the continued support and for being our greatest district partner. Your office is making a difference!

NY/NJ Fundraising Gala


On September 20, 2013, the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force hosted its first annual Fundraising Gala for the US Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund in commemoration of the task force’s 10th anniversary.  The event includedcocktail hour, open bar, silent auction and a sit down dinner.  This event drew hundreds of attendees from the NY/NJ law enforcement community, local business, and other government organizations. With the support of D/NJ, E/NY and S/NY the event was a huge success and it raised over $37,000 for the Fund. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.

1st Annual Marshals Golf Classic


On August 9, 2013, the U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund hosted its first golf fundraiser at Andrews Air Force Base.  Despite a few minutes of torrential downpour, it was a great afternoon of golf and fun. Hundreds of prizes were given away and the winner went home with a 50” flat screen television.  USMS employees, retired members, friends, family and corporate sponsors travelled from across the country to take part in this inaugural event. Their collective generosity raised over $32,000! Without the leadership of the Marshals Golf Classic Committee and the tireless work of all our volunteers, none of this would have been possible.  Thanks to all of you for taking time out of your personal lives to be a part of the U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund family. 

N/IN and D/MA Coordinate Nationwide Fundraiser


On June 18, 2013, after several months of coordination, the selfless actions of two Deputies and their partnership with Sally’s Cop Shop finally came to fruition. The U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund was the recipient of a donation in the amount of $14,393.00. This significant contribution was the single largest donation the Fund has received to date. The Fund’s Board of Directors would like to recognize Sally’s Cop Shop for their generosity and thank every USMS employee who purchased a 2013 Police Week T-Shirt. This donation would not have been possible without your support. The Board of Directors would also like to give special appreciation to the two Deputies from the Northern District of Indiana and the District of Massachusetts for their steadfast commitment to our mission.
